I have asked at RWGUIDE and got know response to this question. Is it better, easier, quicker to marry your RW in her home town and than  start the process of getting her to the USA?  Where can I find a downloadable source for the information I need to marry and return with my RW wife?  JP

JPjr,

Typically, the State Department doesn't like American Citizens going this route.  This is a way of forcing the Embassy in approving visas for spouses.  The Embassy doesn't like to be forced to do anything.  Just be aware that it is possible that you can get married in Russia but the Embassy may not approve the visa.  This is the worst case.

This is called a K-3 visa.  Children of your wife would have a K-4 visa.  K-3 visas are petitioned using the USCIS form below.  You can get additional info by doing a Google search on "K-3 visas."  Sources say that K-3s process faster than K-1s (Fiance visas) however, this can change at anytime.

JPjr,

Look at the information links I provided in this forum,  They should help you get started. The links cut through the USCIS maze and takes you to the important pages.

Yes I  have been looking at the info for 2 days. My brain is awash with #s 129f and 130, K1 K2 K3  CR1 The packets that have to go back and forth. It seems over whelming, I am not used to such, but will dot my T's and cross my eyes when the time comes for each. I am just glad I found these support forums.  I know it may seem obvious but what prompted you and others to start the original RWG? I see some posts about the good old days way back in the 80's. If I had some time I would love to read the history  of the Russian Woman Primer.  Thanks to all the Pioneers for Blazing the Trail.   JP

JPjr,

In order to have the right posts up front for the newbies, the history stories will have to go in the 'Belly up to the bar' forum.

For now, I'm too busy writing content for this board.  The history will have to wait unless another person wants to post it now.

Ronin, I am a little further along now and am learning about the I-129F package. I have a question about G-325 and G325A. I am using VisaJourney.com to go over the example documents. The examples for both US Citizen and Alien Fiance(e) are filled out the same way, IE about the alien fiance(e). I am confused (and that is easily done). Am I supposed to attach pics of me to one set(my personal bio?) and pics of her to the other set of 4(her personal bio)?  Also, for the last set of boxes, "This form is submitted in connection with application for:"  Sheet (1) Ident. is checked,  "other(specify): I-129F Petition for Fiance" and the other 3 sheets are checked "Naturalization", but stiil have the "I-129PfF" beside the unchecked box "other (specify)". I read where any little screw up upsets the whole procedure, so I want to be absolutley sure I understand what is needed on these forms. I post to this thread because it is my questions Thread.  Thanks,  Joe

JPjr,

Before the advent of fillable PDFs, the bio was a thick 4 page carbon copy form.  The result would be four identical sheets.  Now, with these internet fillable forms, nothing has changed.  All four pages have to be identical.  The more things change the more they stay the same, especially in government.  You will find that when you "x" the box that states "Other Specify:" all the other sheets will be automaticly filled the same.  Crossing one as "Other Specify" and the other sheets to be crossed as "Naturalization" makes no sense.

Yes, pictures are attached to ther bios.  The method I will have to get back to you on.  I'm not sure if I have answered your questions.  If not, please paraphrase.

I think I understand about the checked boxes. The examples of the 2 bios have me confused.  In the example, Both show her information. Take a look and tell me what you see. Are both bios about her, or one about me and one about her?   Joe

JPjr,

If you look at the RussianWomanPrimer:  K-1 Checklist in the 'Hub of Links," it lists both a bio for you and your fiancee.

In the past, the AM would staple one picture to the lower right-hand corner of the bio.  For the fiancee two pictures from the same sheet would be stapled to her bio.  In both cases the staple is placed vertically in the middle of the farthest right-side margin of the photos.  Since the advent of biometrics in the mix, their procedures for picture handling maybe different now.  Let me know if you find anything different on this.

This is important if you don't want delays in the processing of your petition.  Make sure that on the back of each photo is the full name of the person.  Write it dark enough to see clearly, yet not dark enough to telegraph through or be seen on the picture side.

First difference, about the attachment of  the pics, is that the pics, as you say, are labled on the back and stapled to a seperate, blank sheet, and positioned in the package behind the appropriate Bio. This was what is detailed at visajourney.com. I looked it up at the USEmbassy site to confirm the forms are up to date.  Thanks,  Joe
